Hultafors crap spirit level.

*

BTW: Don't be tempted by a Hultafors UZ8 string/line spirit level. I just bought one for this project and this cheap and nasty, but ridiculously expensive [100DK or £10] piece of red plastic, is hideously inaccurate. It was three times the price of the competitor's, red plastic model on the same sales display. The bubble is way out when the level is reversed end to end on any surface. I even checked it on a glass table to be sure what I was seeing. The level has no manufacturer's markings [at all] to suggest it is any different from the 1/3 price cheaper makes.

Probably both types are made in exactly the same Asian factory despite the "Swedish design since 1883" nonsense on the packaging. It will have to go back for a refund. Life is too short to be dealing with such crap. I thought the foolishly high price would represent long life, accuracy and quality. I was wrong again! Another case of "designer label syndrome." Profiteering on an established "name" by any other name, would stink as bad. How on earth could they get such a simple design so wrong?
